Yobe State is on the right track, says NUJ

The Executive Governor of Yobe State Hon Mai Mala Buni development strides within his one year in office have put the state in the right direction towards socio-economic development

The Nigeria union of journalists (NUJ) yobe state council said while congratulating the government and good people of yobe state on Democracy day 2020
In a statement signed by the chairman of the council,comrade Yusuf Alhaji Isa, noted the symbiotic relationship between Democracy and the media in the nation’s development process.

Comrade Yusuf noted that democracy being the best form of government was championed by the press as balancing mechanism between leaders and the led at all levels.

He said, here in yobe state,democracy has provided ample opportunity for people to choose a more sensitive and responsive government led by his excellency Hon.mai mala Buni, a season politician with unblemish record of serving humanity.

The NUJ equally appreciated the Buni led government for the unquestionably feat and revolutionary drive in education, health care, Agriculture, commerce, youth empowerment and road network among others.

The union further assured that the media will continue to keep to its constitutional mandate of serving the people and the government.

It also cautioned working journalists in the state to be professional in dealing with public and political news materials and to further project our neutrality as members of the fourth estate of the realm.

Finally the union pledged its unflinching support and loyalty to the ideals of democracy upon which the government of Yobe stands.
