LANDIKOTAL: Education department officials disteibuted school bags among 199 orphans and poor children bazaar Zakhakhel in Landikotal on Friday.
A brief and dignified ceremony was held at Government Middle School Zarjan Killay in Brag village which was attended by a large number of residents, elders and teachers.
Education department official Hazrat Hussain was chief guest while headmaster Sulaiman Shah, Mujahid Shah, Mubarak Shah, Malik Nadershah Afridi and others also attended the distribution ceremony.
Teachers association president Malik Nadar Shah Afridi said that they were committed to address both the issues faced by teachers and the educational challenges of orphans and needy students.He emphasized the contribution of generous individuals that it was because of their donations that children were helped.
He urged everyone to contribute their donations and charity so that no orphaned child would be deprived of education.
Malik Nadershah Afridi asked the education department officials to announce special allowances for teachers serving in hard areas. Heads teachers of schools were also provided with calendar and teacher ideas magazine.
