COVID 19: Bauchi seeks NUJ cooperation

The Executive Governor of Bauchi State Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed has charged the newly elected officials of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Bauchi Council to partner the state in curbing the menace of COVID 19 in the state.

In a congratulating message to NUJ Bauchi State Council for conducting a rancour free election, he enjoined them to uphold the tenents of the profession.

In a press statement signed by the Senior Special Assistant on Media Mukthar Mohammed Gidado made available to The DAILY VENDOR News on Saturday June 13 2020, he said the peaceful conduct of the elections is hallmark of the media.

Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed who was one time a journalist charged the new executives not to betray the trust of their colleagues.

He however, charged the new executives to rid the profession of quacks masquerading as journalist in the state which is negatively affecting the image of the media.

He assured the union of the government support at all times.

The NUJ Bauchi Council held her election on Saturday June 13 2020 and elected Umar Saidu as Chairman and Isa Garba Gadau as Secretary.
