Reports from Emene says the heavy presence of police and other security agents has put fear in residence of the Enugu suburb.
A detachment of security operatives have been deployed to keep surveillance in Emene, Enugu following Sunday’s violence that involved the IPOB and security agents.
Several lives were lost in Sunday’s violence were security operatives opened fire on IPOB members holding a meeting in Emene.
The follow-up by security operatives is believed to be part of efforts to prevent resurgence of any attack from any quarter especially with threats by IPOB who claimed to have lost about 21 members in the Emene shooting.
The heavy presence of the combined security personnel has put residents on edge restricting movements for fear of arrests.
