PESHAWAR: Presidential award winner and renowned tribal elder Malik Aslam Noor Wazir along with his two young sons killed in a terrorists attack were laid to rest in their native graveyard at Leva Kanda in Lower South Waziristan district on Thursday.
Despite a large number of near and dears one,relatives and others, Deputy Commissioner South Waziristan Lower Nasir Khan, Brigadier commander Wana Brig,Muhammad Owais Shamim,civil and military officials, DPO Farman Ullah, tribal elders and thousands of people participated in the funeral prayer.
Malik Aslam Noor Wazir and his two young sons were killed in an IED blast planted on the roof of a shop at Daza Ghoundai on the Wana Azam Warsak Road, some five kilometers from Wana in Lower South Waziristan.
Malik Aslam Noor Wazir was honored with the presidential award by the President of Pakistan Arif Alvi in the year of 2022.
Malik Khadeen, the elder brother of Malik Aslam Noor, was always fighting against foreign terrorists from 2004 to 2007 and lost his life for the sake of homeland.
In which several IEDs exploded on Malik Khadeen in which he was seriously injured.
One of his sons was killed along with him in 2007, In 2007 another IED exploded on Malik Khadeen near the Wana Bazar Aman check post.
He was survived of several terrorism bids in 204 and 2007.
Terrorists had also may times before attacked Malik Aslam Noor in which he got injured.
Three others included two sons of Malik Aslam Noor and a Gangikhel shopkeeper were also killed in the explosion.
Abbasin Gangikhel Rahmanullah Gangikhel and Jikhel were injured.
They were shifted to district Headquarters hospital.
Malik Aslam Noor Wazir was going home from Rustam Bazar Wana where on the way he stopped the car and went to the shop where terrorists had planted an explosive device and came under attack.
Five family members of tribal elder Malik Aslam Noor Wazir were also killed by terrorists.
Malik Aslam Noor Wazir was a patriotic, loyal and highly respected figure of South Waziristan Lower,residents said.
In the attacks of foreign fighters in Waziristan, his efforts to protect his tribe with extraordinary bravery would be remembered, locals said.
