Police nab habitual robber who jumped fence to steal Keke in Anambra

A 24-year old man, Chibuzor Nwachukwu Emmanuel has been arrested for allegedly stealing a tricycle in ikolo house Umudioka, Awka South LGA of Anambra State.

The suspect who had been a habitual offender, reportedly jumped over the fence and allegedly stole the KEKE belonging to one Okafor Chukwunonso Kelvin ‘m’ of ikolo house Umudioka inside his compound.

Confirming the incident, the Police Public Relations Officer, Haruna Mohammed said the suspect has confessed voluntarily and exhibit was recovered in his possession.

He said, “On the 20/6/2020 at about 6:30am, following a tip off Police operatives attached to the Command public complaint and Anti piracy unit (APPCAP) arrested one Chibuzor Nwachukwu Emmanuel ‘m’ aged 24 years of Okpuno Okochi ime in Awka South LGA of Anambra State.

“Suspect who was an habitual offender jumped over the fence and allegedly stole a tricycle KEKE belonging to one Okafor Chukwunonso Kelvin ‘m’ of ikolo house Umudioka inside his compound.

“Meanwhile, suspect has confessed voluntarily and exhibit was recovered in his possession. Investigation is still ongoing after which suspect would be brought to book.

“Consequently, the Command enjoined vehicle and tricycle owners to install tracking or other security devices in order to secure their property from the vehicles and tricycle stealing syndicates.”
