The main opposition party , the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has set up five man committee for EDO State 2020 gubernatorial primaries.
The primaries is slated for Thursday 25 June 2020 at the Ogbe Stadium in Benin City the state capital.
According to a statement by the party National Organising Officer Col (rtd) Austine Akobundu on Sunday June 21, 2020 in Abuja, Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed of Bauchi State is the chairman of the committee.
Members of the committee comprises the Governors of Oyo State Seyi Makinde and Zamfara State Bello Matawalle.
Other member are Distinguish Senator
Lilian Uche Ekwunife and Hon Solomon Bulus Maren who is to serve as the secretary.
According to the statement, the National Working Committee (NWC) of the party approved their nomination for the purpose of EDO STATE 2020 Gubernatorial Primary (CANDIDATE NOMINATION)
State Congress Electoral Committee.
The Committee is mandated to conduct the primary election that will elect the Party’s Flagbearer in Edo State, for the upcoming 2020 Governoship Election in the State in Saturday September 19 , 2020.
