…says apart from rigging, nobody else is contesting this election with Obi
Ahead of Tuesday’s mega rally of the Presidential Candidate of Labour Party LP, Mr. Peter Obi in Onitsha, Anambra State, former Governor of the state, Dr. Chukwuemeka Ezeife has predicted a resounding victory for the LP flag-bearer in the February 25 presidential election.
He said he was earnestly looking forward for the day Obi would be sworn, stressing that his emergence would mark the beginning of Nigeria’s return to part of glory.
Speaking to newsmen on Monday at his country home, Igboukwu in Aguata Local Government Area of the state, Ezeife maintained that Obi remained the only candidate capable of salvaging the country.
He however expressed fears of manipulation of the election, which according to him was the only factor that could stop Obi from coasting to victory at the poll.
Ezeife who said: “I am earnestly looking forward for the day Obi will be sworn. That day will mark the beginning of Nigeria’s return to the part of glory.
“Apart from rigging, I will say that nobody else is contesting this election with Obi, in as much as I know that some other candidates have so much money at their disposal.
“All powers belong to God; and our God can stop every rigging. I see the hands of God in the Obedient movement and I thank all Nigerians for thinking aright this time around.
“By God’s grace, there will be election in February, 2023. There will be no interim government and the result of the election is predictable.
“In fact, I can’t wait for May 29, this year when Obi will be sworn in. But if I had my way, why not bring the swearing in date down to March or April, instead of waiting till May which is three months far away from the February election.”
