A 23-year old man has been arrested for allegedly defiling two minors, Chinaecherem Akagha (11) and Nmesoma Akagha (9) of Nkwo orji Owerri North Local Government Area of Imo state.
The suspect, Uchenna Mbahotu was arrested by operatives of the Divisional Police headquaters, Orji.
THE DAILY VENDOR gathered that the suspect reportedly took advantage of the closeness of the victims as next door neighbours to perpetrate the evil act.
Police Public Relations Officer, SP Ikeokwu Orlando confirmed the incident.
He said investigation was at an advance stage, adding that the suspect would be charged at the conclusion of the investigation.
He said, “On the 13/5/2020, based on a report by one Blessing Akagha “f” of Nkwo orji Owerri North LGA, operatives of the Divisional Police hqrs Orji, arrested one UCHENNA MBAHOTU “m” 23 yrs old.
“The complaint reported that the said Uchenna Mbahotu defiled her two daughters, CHINAECHEREM AKAGHA, 11 yrs old and NMESOMA AKAGHA 9yrs old.
“She further stated that the suspect took advantage of the fact that they allow the kids get close to him as next door neighbours to perpetrate the evil act.
“However, medical examination conducted on both children, revealed that it was only NMESOMA AKAGHA that was defiled.”
