The House of Representatives ambition of the Young Progressives Party (YPP) standard bearer, Barr Johnmary Akachukwu Maduakolam received a boost as stakeholders in Ihiala federal constituency resolved to send the UK trained lawyer to the green chamber of the National Assembly.

Speaking at the annual old boys association meeting of St. Jude Secondary School, Ihiala; Hon Barr B C Ottih revealed the position of the stakesholders at Eagle Destiny Hotel, Ihiala on 4th January 2023.

Hon Barr Otti pointed out that the only candidate visible in the constituency is the YPP candidate who has been telling the people his program and agenda for the constituents.

He noted that candidates for other political parties have been having their meetings in Awka, Enugu, Lagos, Abuja and other places as if the people at home doesn’t matter.

“Since we have been treated with so much levity, the stakesholders and the entire people of Ihiala have resolved to give our mandate to Barr Maduakolam who has always been with us through thick and thin. We can no longer gamble with professional politicians who are not really known to us.”

Speaking further at the event, Chief Felix Okeke, maintained that “Barr Johnmary Akachukwu Maduakolam was moving round the constituency during the Yuletide and the new year celebrations empowering the children, youths and above all the needy while other candidates are far away from Ihiala over flimsy excuses.”

“A people deserve the kind of government they have, this is true for all people, sometimes certain persons feel it is wrong to say that to people who are under misrule, but the fact remains that a people deserve the kind of government they have, so we have decided to end poor representation for Ihiala federal constituency in Abuja. We deserve better and the YPP candidate is it.” Chief Okeke asserted.

Reminded of the activities of certain political godfathers who normally dictate direction of votes during elections in Ihiala, Chief Francis Ukachukwu said: “The godfathers you are talking about are with us on this.

“They all saw what happened recently in the constituency, Barr Maduakolam was busy telling his constituents what he intends to do for us in Abuja with his CLEAN project. The godfathers too heard and saw him. The godfathers will certainly align with the popular wish of Ndi-Ihiala in the House of Reps election. I assure you.” He concluded.
