A middle-aged woman sustained serious injury in an auto crash on top of Kwata Bridge along Awka-Enugu Expressway, Awka, Anambra state.
The accident which occurred around 11.55am involved black SUV Nissan car with two passengers on board.
An eye witness said the driver was over speeding resulting to total Loss of Control.
Confirming the incident, Ag. Sector Public Education Officer, Federal Road Safety Corps, Kamal Musa said the crash was caused by over speedingm
He said, “A Road Traffic Crash involving a black SUV Nissan car with Government number, 02E-343AN was reported at about 1155 hrs today Monday 17th August, 2020 on top of Kwata Bridge 3kms from FRSC headquarters, Awka along Awka-Enugu Express.
“Two Female Adults were involved while one sustained an injury. FRSC operatives from Awka are on ground managing traffic.
“Efforts are in progress to clear the obstruction while the injured victim was taken to Princeton Orthopedic Specialist Hospital by FRSC Team from Awka Command
