Gunmen yet to be identified have abducted a former Speaker of the Imo State House of Assembly, Lawman Duruji. According to sources, Duruji was kidnapped in the Ehime Mbano local government area on Saturday at Oriagu while returning from a function. It was learnt that a businessman in Owerri, known as Ezzybee was also kidnapped. Ezzybee was said to have been kidnapped on Sunday while on the way to watch a local football match. A lecturer and a student have been shot dead by unknown gunmen at Michael Otedola College of Primary Health Education in Epe Local Government Area of Lagos State. Eleven victims reportedly kidnapped by unknown gunmen in Army camouflage were on Sunday rescued by operatives of the Nigeria Police Force in Delta State. Soldiers were said to have engaged unknown gunmen in a gun duel after they abducted some travelers in Ayebode, Ekiti State.
