‘Targets legislative policy to support wholesome technology adoption – Sen. Ekwunife
The Senator representing Anambra Central Senatorial Zone, Sen Uche Ekwunife Ph.D has arrived Kigali – Rwanda with her team, Senate Committee on Science, Technology and Innovation for a 5-Day seminar billed to run from October 13th to October 17th.
Besides strengthening the bilateral relationship between the two countries, the programme aims at unlocking and utilizing research potentials, as well as support the organized private sector towards achieving global targets in science and technology.
The theme of the event “Adoption of Technology Driven Solution for Raw Material Development” in Nigeria has obviously described the role of science and technology in effective research and advancement in developing countries.
In her remarks, Sen Uche Ekwunife stated that Kigali is chosen as a destination for this seminar as a centre point for technology advancement in Africa. She noted that the committee would come up with legislative policy to support wholesome technology adoption at the end of the seminar.
At the time of filing this report, the committee was settling down for indepth discussion on strategies for effective technological advancement in Africa, with particular emphasis on Nigeria.
