Police Recruitment: Anambra announces modalities for free screening

The Anambra Police Command has announced modalities for the physical/credential screening exercise for the 2023/2024 General duty/specialist constables recruitment.

The spokesperson, Tochukwu Ikenga, in a statement issued on Saturday said the exercise would start from Monday, January 8 2024 to January 29, 2024 at Police Headquarters, Amawbia Awka by 7amdaily.

He said applicants should check application status on the recruitment portal, www.policerecruitment.gov.ng, and print their invitation slip for the exercise.

He further advised successful applicants to be at the screening venue in their clean white T-shirts and shorts with the following mandatory requirements:

*Two white flat files with a recent passport photograph attached:

*Evidence of physical/mental fitness from a government-recognized Medical Hospital

*Evidence of Good character from the Village/District Head of the applicant

*Certificate of Origin duly signed by the Local Government Chairman or Secretary

*National Identity Number (NIN) – Slip Print-out

*Original and duplicate copies of credentials O’ Level Result(s), Birth Certificate/Declaration of Age

*Print-out of the application form

*Duly completed Guarantor’s form

*Invitation slip

Ikenga warned that any candidate who failed to present any of the above-mentioned requirements would not be considered for the exercise.

“Meanwhile, the Commissioner of Police, CP Aderemi Adeoye reiterates that the recruitment exercise is free of charge. He assures that the screening will be conducted in the best tradition of transparency and professionalism.

“The CP also advises the applicants not to allow themselves to be swindled by online fraudsters and other criminal elements, who might want to take advantage of the recruitment process to defraud innocent applicants and warns that anyone found wanting will be arrested and prosecuted.
