Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) Anambra State has urged Speaker, State House of Assembly, Somto Udeze to use his good offices to ensure the State was inaugurated into State Advisory Committee on Road Safety.
The Sector Commander, Anambra state Command, Corps Commander Adeoye Irelewuyi made the appeal during a courtesy visit to the Speaker.
He congratulated the Speaker on his election to office, relaying the FRSC’s statutory responsibilities to him.
He informed him on importance of registration of shuttle buses, trycycles and motorcycles on FRSC centralized data base to reduce the incident of theft.
“Registration of Anambra State shuttle buses, trycycles and motorcycles on FRSC centralized data base will also aid easy trace when stolen,” he added.
Responding, Speaker Udeze appreciated the Sector Commander on his visit, acknowledging that Road Safety is everyone’s business and must ensure safety on the road.
He promised to make consultations on issues discussed for necessary actions, while pledging support for FRSC State Command.
The FRSC boss was received by Hon. Jude Ngobili representing Ihialla 1 constituency the Chief Whip of the house of Assembly and Hon. Pat Okafor representing Onitsha North 11.
