‘Lukaku a former Man United and Everton star, remains under contract at Chelsea until 2026’
Chelsea manager, Graham Potter, has reportedly taken a decision on the club’s loanee Romelu Lukaku’s future at Stamford Bridge.
The Belgian professional footballer completed his dream return to Inter Milan this summer after a turbulent campaign at Chelsea last season.
The 29-year-old, who struggled to win the favour of former Chelsea coach Thomas Tuchel, is said to be keen on a permanent deal at Inter Milan beyond his season-long loan spell.
But the loan agreement does not include an option or obligation to buy next summer.
While the arrival of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to Chelsea on deadline day filled a void in attack at the West London club, Potter is keen not to close the door on Lukaku’s Chelsea career just yet, sources said.
Potter is open to holding talks with the Belgium international in a bid to revive his career, should he be interested in a return to the Blues.
