Calvin Bassey has been named in Ajax’s squad for Tuesday’s UEFA Champions League clash against Liverpool.
Bassey sustained a minor calf injury in the Eredivisie champions 5-0 victory against SC Heerenveen on Saturday.
After putting in a good shift, the Nigeria international was taken off with six minutes remaining on the clock after he was badly hit by an opponent.
There were fears the versatile defender could miss the trip to Anfield but he has recovered in time for the game.
Bassey was part of Ajax’s 24-man travelling party on Monday morning.
The 22-year-old make his debut in the UEFA Champions League for Ajax against his former club, Glasgow Rangers last week Wednesday.
He grabbed an assist as Alfred Schreuder’s men won 4-0 at home.
Liverpool will look to bounce back from the 4-1 defeat to Napoli last week.
