Barcelona have shown willingness to sell Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to Chelsea.
Barça are said to be pleased with Chelsea’s latest action in their bid to sign striker from the Catalan side.
THE DAILY VENDOR learnt that the Blues have submitted a new €20 million (£16.9m) offer for Aubameyang, according to a source
Thomas Tuchel wants an outright striker and a recognised goalscorer at Stamford Bridge before the transfer window closes in a few days time.
Aubameyang, who left Arsenal in January, is Tuchel’s top target, having already worked with him at Borussia Dortmund.
Barcelona are asking for a fee around close to €30m (£25.3m) for the 33-year-old, who they got for free from Arsenal
Chelsea’s first offer of €15m (£12.6m) was turned down by Barcelona last week.
Chelsea have returned with an improved bid of €20m (£16.9m) and have removed add-ons from the deal.
The report claims that Barcelona are encouraged by Chelsea’s latest offer, but are still looking for a figure closer to €30m (£25.3m).
However, a €20m (£16.9m) fee from Chelsea for Aubameyang would be enough to finally allow Barcelona to register €55m (£46.4m) summer signing, Jules Kounde.
