Some Nigerians living in Spain, on Friday attacked Nigeria’s Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, who is on an official assignment in Spain.
Amaechi who confirmed the incidence said he was attacked at an event on climate change held in Madrid, Spain.
Taking to his Twitter handle, the minister said “Some minutes ago, I was attacked by a few misguided Nigerians while on national assignment at a climate change event in Madrid, Spain.”
He said Spanish policemen succeeded in stopping his attackers before they could hurt him.
“They were quickly repelled by the Spanish police before they could do any harm. I am fine. I was not hurt. Thanks for your support & prayers,” he said.
The minister did not disclose the identities of his attackers.
