The Kano State Command of the Nigeria Police on Thursday rescued a man confined in a room for about 30 years by his relatives.
It was gathered that the man’s relatives allegedly locked up the 55-year-old man to a wood in a room with no window.
It was also gathered that the man, whose name is yet to be known was locked up in a room for having a psychiatric problem.
The spokesman of the Kano Police Command, Abdullahi Haruna, who confirmed the incident, said that the victim has been admitted into a medical facility in Rogo Local Government and already an investigation has been launched into the matter.
