PDP Governors Tell Umahi, They Remain Committed To StrengtheningTheir Party

Nigeria Governors elected on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has said that they remain united and committed to strengthening the main opposition party.

They disclosed this during the ongoing 90th NEC meeting of the party holding at the party’s National Secretariat, Wadata House, Abuja.

Speaking on behalf of his colleagues,the Chairman of the PDP Governors Forum, Aminu Tambuwal, who spoke on behalf of the other members stated that the party governors remain united.

He said, “All 15 of us are here present. We are individually committed to good governance in our various states to in order to make our party strong.

“This is a clear statement that we are united and working towards strengthening our party for the future.”

Recall that the Ebonyi Governor had earlier announced his defection from PDP to All Progressives Congress (APC) while addressing journalists in Abakaliki, the Ebonyi State capital on Tuesday, November 17.

Governor Umahi explained that he moved to the ruling APC because of injustice meted out to the Southeast by his former political party, the PDP.
