A fatal traffic crash was on Wednesday recorded along Igboukwu-Ezinifite road Aguata LGA of Anambra State at about 5.45pm.
The Anambra State FRSC Public Education Officer, Florence N Edor made this known in a press release.
She said that the crash was between unidentified driver of a Toyota Hiace bus with registration number ENU 544 YA and unidentified driver of MIT L300 bus with registration number JJT 677 JT.
Edor said that eyewitness report indicated that the crash was cause by the drunk MIT L300 bus driver who lost control, left his lane and collided with the Hiace bus.
The FRSC Public Education Officer said that thirteen persons were involved in the crash comprising of seven male adults, four female adults, one male child and one female child.
She said that twelve persons sustained serious injuries and were rushed to Apex hospital Igboukwu before the arrival of FRSC rescue team from Igboukwu Command and one male adult was confirmed dead by the doctor on duty, his body deposited at the Morgue.
Meanwhile, the Sector Commander Anambra State has wished the injured quick recovery and also sent his condolence to the deasesed family.
He warned drivers to desisit from driving when they’re drunk and that if they must drink they should not drive.
