Anambra crash: FRSC hands over recovered goods to victims

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in Anambra State on Monday handed over goods recovered from a fatal crash in Umuokpu Timber Market, along Awka – Onitsha Expressway of the state.

The Sector Command on Thursday reported that one person lost his life in the crash, while seven others sustained varying degrees of injury.

The victims of the fatal crash and one Mr. Odoh, who represented the driver of the Toyota Sienna were present at the Command to identify and collect their belongings.

Speaking on behalf of the victims, Odo thanked FRSC for high level of professionalism exhibited during the rescue operation.

He confirmed that their goods were complete and intact, charging the FRSC officials not to relent in their efforts towards protection of lives and property by keeping the highways safe for all road users.

Reacting, Sector Commander, Adeoye Irelewuyi thanked the beneficiaries for the accolades, advising the victims and other road users to be responsible and say NO to overloading, driving above stipulated speed limits and other bad road usage that could cause Road Traffic Crash.
