#EndSARS: Don’t join hoodlums in destroying lives and property – TOAN boss warns tricyclists

Commercial tricycle operators in Anambra have been cautioned against being part of the #EndSARS protest in the state.

Chairman of Tricycles Owners Association of Nigerria (TOAN), Comrade Sylvester Obiora, gave the warning while addressing tricyclists popularly known as keke riders in Awka, the state capital.

He said the call has become necessary following destruction of properties ocassioned by hijacking of the protests by miscreants and hoodlums.

He commended the peaceful disposition of his members during the protests, enjoying them to go about their normal businesses without fear of molestation and ensure they remained safe.

Obiora also praised the state Governor, Willie Obiano and the Commissioner for Transport, Afam Mbanefo for their professionalism in handling the security situation of the state.

He said ” Keke people are respected and responsible people who will not engage in any wanton destruction of lives and properties.

“They should never be part of the protesters who have resorted to arson and looting of public and private property.”
