CP supports food vendor involved in auto crash in Anambra

Anambra State Commissioner of Police, CP Aderemi Adeoye has supported a food vendor involved in an accident in the state.

The crash which occured on Tuesday morning, involved a tricyclist and the food vendor, who was about to cross the road before she was knocked down by the absent-minded tricyclist.

An eyewitness who identified himself as Eric Okonkwo said no casualty was recorded in the crash, but the vendor lost virtually all the product she was hawking.

“The container the woman was carrying broke into pieces while the contents (African salad) poured away.

“While passersby people gathered to assist the victim with her spilt product, the CP who was on his way to work, sighted the scene and stopped-by to intervene,” the witness said.

The Daily Vendor gathered that the CP, after consoling the victim, gave her undisclosed amount of money to assuage her plight and enable her bounce back to life.

He cautioned the tricyclist and the victim to always be alert while on the road, to avoid reoccurrence of such unfortunate incident.
