1,100 FRSC personnel ready for Yuletide

By: Awesome Ekene Anambra State Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC, Mr. Adeoye Irelewuyi has assured the command's preparedness to deploy all human and material resources to ensure a smooth Christmas season in the State. Irelewuyi said about 500 regular marshalls and 600 special marshalls have been scheduled for patrol across the state during the period, adding that patrol hours have been moved beyond 6pm to accommodate road users coming in or leaving the state at night. The group noted that the patients have been discharged but were unable to pay their hospital bills especially at the male and female ward of the hospital. Houses, vehicles damaged as flash floods hit Lagos

Several houses and vehicles were on Sunday damaged following a heavy downpour in Lagos State. According to the National Emergency Management Agency, a flash flood which was caused by the downpour damaged houses and vehicles in some parts of the Alimosho Local Government Area of Lagos State. NEMA also advised residents and motorists in the area to exercise utmost caution as some electric poles fell due to the downpour. The Acting Zonal Coordinator, South-West Zonal Office, NEMA, Mr Ibrahim Farinloye, gave the advice in a statement he issued in Lagos.
