Super Eagles captain, Kenneth Omeruo has said the team is battle ready for all opposition at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.
Jose Peseiro’s side have been drawn against hosts Cote d’Ivoire, Equatorial Guinea and Guinea-Bissau in Group A.
The Ivorians will enjoy support from their fans, while Guinea-Bissau beat the Super Eagles in the qualifiers in Abuja.
Omeruo, who was part of the Eagles squad that won the AFCON title in 2013 in South Africa, said the team is ready to conquer all opposition.
“I do believe we have the quality to win the next AFCON, we have to take it step by step, we have the winning mentality in the team, we can go all the way,” the centre-back told a press conference ahead of the Super Eagles friendly against Saudi Arabia.
The 2023 AFCON will run from January 13 to February 11, 2024.
