NSCDC assures speedy response to security threats in Anambra

Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Anambra State Command has restated its determination to collaborate with other sister security agencies to secure lives and properties of residents of the state.

State Commandant, Mr Osuala Edwin gave the assurance when he visited Secretary to the State Government, Prof. Solo Osita Chukwulobelu at the Government House Awka.

He revealed that with robust cooperation of the state government, the Corps would work assiduously to ensure speedy response to security threats in the state.

The NSCDC helmsman commended State Government for its intentional assistance to security agencies in the state, requesting for more operational support to improve efficiency of the Corps in tackling crime and criminality across the state.

Emphasising importance of community participation in maintaining a secure environment, Osuala urged members of the public to remain vigilant and promptly report any suspicious activities to the NSCDC or any other security agencies nearest to them.

He also urged them to cooperate with law enforcement agencies in their deliberate effort to apprehend the perpetrators responsible for the criminal activities across the state.

Responding, SSG extolled efforts of the NSCDC towards reducing the spate of criminal activities in certain parts of the state that constitute unnecessary cogs in the wheel of progress of Anambra State.

He assured the state Commandant of Prof. Chukwuma Soludo’s administration readiness to support NSCDC and other security agencies at all times to enable them carry out their statutory roles of maintaining law and order.

Chukwulobelu explained that Soludo accords topmost priority to protection of lives and properties of residents, assuring that it would not relent in efforts aimed at providing security agencies necessary operational support to work with.
