Gov Umahi sacks Aides from Senator Egwu’s LGA

The Ebonyi State Governor, Chief David Umahi yesterday announced the immediate sack of 8 Development Center Coordinators, all Executive Assistants to the Governor from Ohaukwu Local Government Area of the state.

In a statement signed by the Secretary to the State Government and Coordinating Commissioner, Dr. Kenneth Ugbala and made available to newsmen said that the sack was to allow greater participation of Ebonyi people in Governance.

Others sacked includes all the Senior Technical Assistants, (STAs), all the Technical Assistants, (TAs), all the Liaison Officers and all the Management Committee Members of Development Centres in Ohaukwu LGA

The release reads; “In avowed determination of Ebonyi State Government to allow greater participation of Ebonyians in governance, the Governor of Ebonyi State, Chief David Nweze Umahi has approved the removal from office of the following political office holders from Ohaukwu Local Government Area with immediate effect”.

“In view of the above, all the affected former officers are directed to handover all the State Government property in their possession to the Secretary to the State Government before the close of work on Monday 23rd November, 2020.

Meanwhile, the Ebonyi State Commissioner for Water Resource, Mr. Sunday Inyima has debunked the rumore that he has resigned his position as Commissioner adding that he has resigned his members of the People’s Democratic Party PDP and joined the All Progressives Congress APC.

In an interview with news in Abakaliki, Hon Inyima who was until his resignation from the PDP was a loyalist of Senator Sam Egwu noted that he joined the APC with Governor Umahi following the transformation witnessed in the state since the inception of the present administration.

Hon Inyima stated that Ebonyi state is in dire need of integration into the National programme and policies and urged the people of Ohaukwu Local Government Area to enmass join the Governor in APC.

Earlier, the Ohaukwu local Government Area Chairman, Barr Clement Odah said that with the defection of all political stakeholders from the local government to the All Progressives Congress APC, the local government is now 99.9% APC.

He pointed out that the Governor has so much transformed the state and has won the confidence of the people. Ends.
