FG Provides Free Healthcare For Corps Members

The National Health Insurance Authority has assured Corps Members that the Federal Government provides free healthcare for all Corps members serving across the states of the nation.

Leader of the National Health Insurance Authority, Anambra State, Mrs Helen Onuora gave the assurance while delivering a lecture on the health care facilities provided to serving Corps Members by the Federal Government.

She said that Corps Members were free to visit any hospital across the nation that is accredited under the National Health Insurance Authority whenever they have health challenges.

She explained that the Giftship-n programme covers serving Corps Members from the date of mobilisation and call-up to the end of three weeks of terminal leave after their passing-out parade.

She affirmed that the National Health Insurance Authority, NHIA, covers virtually everything, including pregnancy, Corps Members who are legally married and all corps members’ consumables when admitted into any of their accredited hospitals, among others.
