Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth Wing has advised Southeast governors and National Assembly members to engage Federal Government towards addressing deplorable conditions of federal roads and other infrastructure in the region.
Acting National Youth Leader, Mazi Chukwuma Okpalaezeukwu gave the charge while speaking with reporters on the state of federal infrastructure in the region.
He attributed absence of appreciable federal presence in Igboland to spate of agitations by people of the area, calling on government at the centre to address the problem.
The Igbo youth leader also decried absence of rail line in the entire zone, despite its huge economic potentials, insisting that no excuse could be accepted for such failure.
“Absence of appreciable federal presence in Igboland is a major reason for the various agitations by the people.
“Government at the centre should look towards addressing the anomaly,” he said.
