Bizman murdered by soldiers in Owerri

An Owerri based businessman Noel Zeribe Chigbu was on Saturday allegedly killed by soldiers who fired at him.

The latest incident sources said happened when Ngor Okpala community are yet to wake up from the shock of the extra judicial killing of one of their kinsman, Mr Tochi Ekwe by the military personnel.

Noel Nzeribe’s offense was that he allegedly failed to stop at a checkpoint and the soldiers killed him at the spot, as reported by the soldiers at the state CID where they sent his car and wrist watch after depositing him at FMC Mortuary.

The murder of Mr Noel Zeribe Chigbu popularly known by friends as “Ziggy” by the Soldiers have raised a lot of dust on how the “citizens have become victims of a deeply dysfunctional and debilitating state” as Opined by Dr Sam Amadi former DG NERC Who equally expressed shock on the incident.

Ziggy, as he was fondly called hailed from Umuocham Ntu, in Ngor Okpala Local Government area of Imo state. He Studied Law at Madona University also holds HND in Marketing from Federal Polytechnic Nekede.

The slained businessman owns a lot of business outlets in Owerri Imo state as the Managing Director of Ziggy Concepts Ltd, married with two Kids.

Ziggy was said to be due to celebrate his 39th year Birthday on 18th May before his right to life was violated and cut short by the soldier on 1st of May.
