For two weeks, Enugu residents have been forced to sleep with one eye open as a bloody cult war which has so far claimed over four lives continues to rage.
The clash which was said to have started in Ugwuaji area of the state later spilled into Abakpa and Trans Ekulu areas where about four suspected cult members are already feared dead.
According eyewitnesses, two persons were shot dead, one on Tuesday and the other on Saturday, at Texaco junction in Abakpa while two others were shot at Timber market in Trans Ekulu.
Though it is suspected that the clash is between members of the Black Axe(Ayes) and members of Baga, the cause of the crisis was still unknown.
Residents who were interviewed said they are always ready to run whenever the need arises due to the unpredictable nature of the clash.
