Again, Chidoka commissions borehole project in Obosi 

The people of Obosi in Idemili North Local Government Area of Anambra State have course to celebrate again as the former member of House of Representatives, Hon Obinna Chidoka commissioned the fifth water borehole project in the commercial town.

Construction of the borehole project sited in Obinagu-Ire village commenced in August 2023 and completed in September 2023 was commisioned on Thursday 16 November 2023.

The people of Obinagu-Ire village actually rolled out drums to celebrate the commissioning of the borehole project which they said is a major respite for the indigenes and residents alike. 

Madam Tina Osakwe while speaking at the occasion, thanked the former lawmaker for his passion for the less privileged in the society.

She said that the women in the community would be spared the pressure of trekking a long distance to get portable water for their households by the commissioning of the borehole project.

“Hon Chidoka is indeed a bright light for Ndi-Idemili, he has continued to identify with us in and out of office, he gave a responsible and responsive representation when he was in the House of Representatives. He has continued to bring good things to us even when he is no more there.

“The former lawmaker is sowing seed of love in our hearts and we will not fail to reciprocate his lovely gestures whenever he beckons on us. Our prayers are with him and his family.” She asserted.

The former lawmaker earlier in his speech said that he decided to construct borehole projects in Obosi and many other communities because of his firm believe that an intake of clean water is the beginning of living a healthy life.

He reassured his constituents of continued commitment to their welfare.
