A yet-to-be-identified woman has reportedly slumped following demolition of her new duplex apartment in Edoji, Uruagu Nnewi in Nnewi North Local Government Area of Anambra state.
The facility was among the structures affected by last Friday’s demolition carried out by Anambra State Physical Planning Board (ANSPPB) after being marked for situating on access roads, thereby obstructing developments in the area.
The woman reportedly fainted when she drove home with his children and a truck loaded with household property to furnish her new house, only to see that the structure has been reduced to rubbles.
A viral video from the scene showed the woman lying unconscious on the ground, while villagers gathered to sympathize with her and her son as he weeps profusely.
The video also showed stationary vehicle carrying her new household properties meant for furnishing the new house.
THE DAILY VENDOR gathered that the woman was later rushed to a nearby hospital where she is responding to treatment.
