The wife of Eggon Youth President in Nasarawa state, Daniel Anyabuga was kidnapped on Monday night in their residence in Lafia, the state capital.
The DAILY VENDOR News was informed that the woman was allegedly abducted by ten gunmen who stormed the resident of the Youth leader at Ombi 2 Lafia, between 10 and 11 pm and took the wife away to an unknown destination.
Nasarawa state Commissioner of police, Bola Longe, said four persons connected to the crime have been arrested, while the motorcycle used for the operation have also been recovered.
The CP discloswd that those arrested include two Fulani herders and two indigenes .
The commissioner who gave an assurance that the kidnapped victim would be rescued and reunited with her family called on the public especially the resident of the state to assist the police with useful information that could lead to the rescue of the victim.
He stated that kidnappers would not have a hiding place in Nasarawa state as the police is very ready to rid the state of all form of crimes and criminality.
He advised those engaging in nefarious activities in the state to either leave the state or get ready to be smocked out.
