The leadership of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has appointed three principal officers to oversee the activities of Northeastern region.
Alhaji Musa Sunusi, Media Secretary, PDP Zonal Headquarter, Northeast disclosed this in a statement in Bauchi.
Sanusi said that with the selection of credible leaders, PDP is bound to takeover the mantle of leadership in 2023, and that Nigerians would surely witness and enjoy dividend of democracy when the dream comes true.
The Media Secretary said that the decision was reached following the emergence of former Senate President, Iyorchia Ayu who is from the North Central as the consensus candidate for the position of the National Chairman of the party.
The appointed candidates, he noted would be presented to the entire PDP family during the meeting which holds later in October 2021.
The three appointed officials who are to take charge of Northeast, include; Amb. Umar Damagun Deputy National Chairman North, Hon. Ahmad Yayari Mohammed as National Treasurer from Yobe state and Hon Adamu Kamale as
Deputy National Financial Secretary from Adamawa state.
