A lady identified as Miss Chinenye Promise Nwoye has been strangled to death in a hotel in Abagana, Anambra state.
The deceased, an undergraduate of the University of Benin from Abba, Njikoka Local Government was allegedly killed inside her room 057 Akuu Hotel, in Abagana.
The same hotel, it was gathered has been a den for committing all sorts of criminal activities.
A resident of the area who simply identified himself as Nwozo, described the act as unfortunate, calling for a thorough investigation on the matter.
“What a promising young girl. Too bad. Anambra state government and the police should ensure that this injustice is not treated with kids gloves, no matter whose ox is gored.
“God give the family of the deceased the fortitude to bear this great loss,” he said.
The DAILY VENDOR learnt two suspects, pregnant woman and a young man were arrested by the state police command.
The staff of the hotel also suspected to have played some dirty roles in the act was said to have since been released by the police.
