Ebonyi State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress APC has Petitioned President Mohammadu Buhari and the National Leadership of the party over alleged plot by the Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike to instigate crisis in the State.
A release signed by the State Caretaker Publicity Secretary, Mr. Ogbuatu Chidi Simbad and made available to Everyday News said that Governor Wike plans to fund some National and State Assembly members to instigate crisis and disrupt the existing peace in the state.
“It has come to the knowledge of All Progressive Congress APC, Ebonyi State Chapter of the clandestine move of the Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Nwike to fund some National Assembly members and State Assembly members from Ebonyi State to orchestrate crisis in the state”.
The party also frowned at the unwarranted utterances of Governor Wike against the Ebonyi State Governor, Chief David Umahi and warned the Rivers State Governor to henceforth desist from such verbal attacks.
“We have also noted his unwarranted utterances against our Governor which are unbecoming of a democratic Governor”.
“We therefore warn that our disposition for peace should not be taken for granted. Governor Wike should leave Ebonyi State alone and concentrate in solving myriads of problems he is facing in his state as we shall resist by all lawful means, all his unprovoked plot to undermine the peace of the state.
“We wish to use this medium to invite the attention of Mr. President, Muhammadu Buhari GCFR and the National Leadership of our great party All Progressive Congress APC ably led by His Excellency, Mai Mala Buni on this demeaning and unwholesome adventure of Governor Wike in Ebonyi State”.
