UDA aspirants now ready to receive Ruto in Bungoma County, Kenya

United Democratic Alliance grassroot supporters have expressed their preparedness to receive Deputy President William Ruto in Bungoma.

Speaking to journalists after a planning meeting in Bungoma town, the party aspirants reaffirmed their unwavering support for Dp Ruto and called upon Bungoma residents to show up and welcome him.

The team also urged youths to maintain discipline and peace in DP Ruto’s visit to Bungoma county in order to avert confusion and unnecessary confusion.

“Bungoma is a peaceful county, the incitement of a few individuals like what happened in Busia has no place in Bungoma,” said Innocent Sikuku Wabwile, MCA aspirant East Sang’alo ward.

His sentiments were reiterated by Mulunda Khaoya who assured small scale business holders that their security will be guaranteed adding that there should be no cause for alarm.

“We are working with security organs to ensure that no malicious person causes harm to our supporters,” he said.

Mulunda also called upon Bungoma residents to register as members of United Democratic Alliance party.

Maria Nato who is eyeing Bungoma women representative seat used the opportunity to urge women and business people to support Ruto’s presidential bid in order to change their economic fortunes.

Ruto is expected in Bungoma on the fourth and fifth November. Unlike other visits, this time round he will be touring villages with his team.

100 youth, women and community based organizations are set to receive capital to boost their business.

He will start in Kanduyi stage, Bukembe market, Ekitale market and finish with Chebukube market in Bungoma town.

Taxi drivers are also anxious to receive Ruto. On the same note, the aspirants have called upon residents of Bungoma to register enmass as voters in the ongoing voter registration exercise. 

It should be remembered that Bungoma already has 6 out of 9 members of parliament supporting Dp Ruto’s Presidential bid.
