Two injured, two escape as three vehicles crash in Anambra

Two persons were seriously injured while two others escaped unhurt in a motor accident at Isulo, Orumba South Local Government Area of Anambra state.

The accident which occurred around 11.30pm, involved 3 vehicles, a Toyota Corolla, a Toyota Camry and a Nissan Previa.

Confirming the incident, Sector Public Education Officer, Federal Road Safety Corps, Pascal Anigbo attributed the crash to wrongful U-turn.

He said, “A serious road traffic crash caused by wrongful U-turn and involving Three (3) vehicles, a Toyota Corolla with enlistment number NSH457FM, a Toyota Camry with registration number AJL670TS and a Nissan Previa with registration number AGK258FX which occurred at about 11.30pm yesterday Thursday 13 August, 2020.

“The crash was however reported at FRSC Umunze Unit Command, today Friday 14 August, 2020.

“A total of Four (4) people (2 male adults and 2 female adults) were involved in the crash. Two victims were reportedly injured. No death recorded. The vehicles have been towed to Umunze Police Station and case under investigation by the Police.

“The Sector Commander Federal Road Safety Corps Anambra State, Andrew Kumapayi admonishes drivers to be observant of available road signs and markings, they should obey them and shun every act of dangerous driving, which can only lead to avoidable road traffic crashes.”
