Trilogy Of Superlative Excellence And The Return Of His Excellency; Imo On The Path To Progress

By: Ikechukwu Iweajunwa

Gov. Hope Uzodimma’s return to Imo today and the accompanied gains from the short trip is yet another testimony that cannot be forgotten in the history of Imo state.

The governor’s trip settled the controversy of ownership of the K.O Mbadiwe University, as he personally received Operational License of the university from the National Universities Commission (NUC).

He had before this time settled the highly expected demands of Imo people, by implementing the White Paper on a panel recommendation to release lands illegally acquired by the administration of Rochas Okorocha to their rightful owners.

But the beauty of Trilogy of Excellence in Imo is that, while the governor travelled out of the state to attract mouth-watering developments, the Speaker of Imo State House of Assembly (IMHA) Rt. Hon. Barr. Kennedy Ibeh was busy revolutionalizing the Imo State House of Assembly (IMHA) to international standard.

Another key player that made up the Trilogy of Excellence is the Deputy Governor Prof. Placid Njoku who bridged the gap of his master’s absence and kept the state intact until the return of the governor.

The synergy between the Executive and the Legislative arms of government since the inception of Rt. Hon. Kennedy Ibeh’s leadership in the IMHA had never been heard of or seen in the history of Imo state.

The beauty of democracy is leadership stability, quality policies and people oriented service delivery. The Speaker has rolled out policies that will not only give the governor peace to implement his 3R agenda, but deepen the people’s support for him.

The combination of a Superlative National Legislator who turned to be Governor and a Cerebral and Seasoned Lawmaker and Speaker of the House could best be described as Excellence meeting Excellence.

Imo is now on the path to progress and to achieve this, our leaders need our support, prayers and commitments.
