Anambra tricycle operators’ boss drags rights activist to court over character defamation

Chairman of Awka Tricycle Operators in Anambra State, Prince Collins Ozojiofor has sued Human Rights Activist, Comrade Osita Obi over character defamation, claiming N500,000,000 damages.

In a Suit No A/191/2023 at the State High Court, Awka, Ozojiofor alleged that Obi called him a cultist in his Facebook, a development that had demeaned his reputation in the public.

He prayed the Court to order Obi to pay the sum of N500,000.000 for defamation of his character.

He also urged the court to mandate Obi to pull down the libelous publication he made on Facebook against him.

He further prayed that the court should compel the defendant to render public apology to him in two national newspapers, and to restrain him, his privies and allies from further such publications against himm
