Three people feared dead as rival cult groups contest supremacy


Three persons have been reportedly killed in a fresh clash between members of two fierce cult group in Abraka community in Ethiope-East Local Government Area of Delta State.

It was gathered that various deadly weapons such as cutlass, guns and sticks were used during the fracas.

According to sources, several other persons sustained injuries when the fight broke out on Tuesday night.

The cause of the clash is still yet unknown as of the time of filing this report.

When contacted for comments about the incident, the Delta State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Onome Onovwakpoyeya, confirmed the clash.

She said the clash was between the Eiye and Black Axe Confraternities in the University Community.

She also said that she is yet to be brief fully about the matter, however, she said once she gets hold of the details, she would communicate it to the appropriate channel.
