A tricycle operator has been allegedly raped by three men, suspected to be involved in modern rituals, also known as Yahoo plus.
The suspects were said to have negotiated the services of the victim, whose name could not be ascertained.
The Daily Vendor gathered that the victim took them to their house in Okpuno, Awka, where they lured him into the apartment and took turns to have carnal knowledge of him.
Confirming the incident, Police spokesperson, Tochukwu Ikenga said one of the suspects has been arrested, while his accomplices are still at large.
He said Police commissioner, Echeng Echeng has ordered the matter be transferred from Central Police Station (CPS), where it was formally lodged to the state Criminal Investigation Department (CID).
He said: “The Commissioner of police has ordered the transfer of case to state CID for a discretion investigations.
“Preliminary information showed that the suspect hired the victim who is a tricycle rider and lured him in a room before having carnal knowledge of him.
“Meanwhile, the result from the doctor’s report showed that there was penetration into his anus, but the arrested suspect has denied.
“Further details shall be communicated as investigations is still ongoing.”
