Three dead as SUV collides with cab in Bengaluru

Three persons were on Friday confirmed dead in a road accident that occurred at one of the Indian state Bengaluru.

The fatal accident on NH-7 on Devanahalli Airport flyover left the three died on the spot, while leaving another two seriously injured.

The Daily Vendor Newspaper learnt that the Injured persons were rushed to a hospital in Bengaluru.

Senior officers as, Joint Commissioner of traffic police, Dr BR Ravikanthe Gowda, along with DCP Traffic North, Savitha S along with other officers as, ACP, Ashok and Chikkajala traffic Inspector, Ms.Hamsaveni, and other staff rushed to the scene of the accident to inspect and take record of the situation.

Traffic on the busy airport road was however disrupted. 

It was learnt that the incident happened when an SUV coming towards the city jumped the divider on the flyover due to over speeding and collided with a cab heading to the airport near betta halasuru crossing.

Due to the impact of the collision, the cab was completely damaged and all the three persons travelling in the cab died on the spot including a woman. The two people who were in the SUV also suffered serious injuries.

The local police who arrived the scene took away the dead bodies and cleared the obstruction. As it was extremely difficult to take out the bodies from the damaged vehicle and the traffic towards the KIA was piling up.

“Later with the help of the Karnataka State Fire and Emergency Services personnel, police were able to retrieve the bodies of the deceased,” explained a resident.

People travelling in the SUV are yet to be traced and further investigation is on to ascertain the exact cause for the accident, she added.
