“The soldiers were moving in a Sienna bus when they were attacked by the hoodlums”
Gunmen on Wednesday killed two soldiers and one unidentified civilian in Umunze, Orumba South local government area of the Anambra State.
The incident happened around 2pm, opposite one of the new generation banks in the area.
According to a source, the military men were moving in a Sienna bus when they were attacked by the hoodlums.
Police Public Relations Officer, Ikenga Tochukwu, confirmed the incident.
He said there was shooting close to Zenith Bank in Umunze, but said details were still sketchy.
He however said the command had deployed security operatives to secure and restore calm within the area.
