A landlord,in Owerri, Mr Emma Ishiguzo has evicted his tenant for lending a widow the sum of N50,000
It was gathered that the widow, Mrs Patience Ishiguzo, who was the landlord brother’s wife, needed the money for the burial of her mother in Akwa Ibom State. The widow said she had met the landlord,for help but he only gave her 10,000.
Mr Stephen Nnadi, who was the tenant, has a shop along the Mbaise Road, Owerri, said that the landlord had come to his shop to buy some items, only for the shop to be broken down by a court bailiff accompanied by an armed policewoman the next day.
“The only thing I know is that I had to lend my landlord brother’s wife the sum of N50,000, which she came to borrow for the burial of her mother in Akwa Ibom.” Nnadi said.
The landlord didn’t seem to feel remorseful about his actions as he said that it was his house and he could do with it as he wishes.
