Teenager suspected to have been trafficked from Benue found in Anambra

A 12-year old boy, Gabriel Tehrile suspected to be a trafficked victim has been found in Anambra state.

The victim was reportedly brought from Benue State to Anambra by his traffickers last week but was said to have ran away from the supposed guardian.

All efforts to contact his relations were said to had proved difficult.

Confirming the incident, the Police Public Relations Officer, Haruna Mohammed, said anyone with useful information about the found child should report at Nnobi Divisional Police Station or contact PPRO Anambra State Police Command.

He said, “On the 22/5/2020 one Gabriel Tehrile ‘m’ aged about 12 years from Egbeji Zakibiam in Benue State was brought to Nnobi Police Station, Idemili South LGA by a good samaritan.

“Preliminary investigation revealed that the Child was brought from Benue State to Anambra by his traffickers last week but the boy ran away from the supposed guardian and all efforts to contact his relations proved difficult.

“Inview of the foregoing,you are kindly requested to dessiminate this massage through your medium to enable the biological parents or close relatives of the child identify him.

“Anyone with useful information about the found child should report at Nnobi Divisional Police Station or contact PPRO Anambra State Police Command through GSM no 08060970639.
