Teacher accused of sexually harassing 16 students in Uttar Pradesh

Uttar Pradesh has witnessed another unprecedented heinous incidents. This time in Muzaffarpur, a teacher was accused of sexually harassing 16 female students in the name of examination. 

This incident has caused a great stir in the area. The question also arises as to how a teacher can cause such a horrible incident. 

A First Information Report FIR, has already been lodged against the accused teachers and school owners, while investigation has commenced. 

It is learned that the teacher called the students from Purkaji area at night in the name of CBSE practical examination. The teacher told all the students to stay at school at night. Then drugs were alleged to have been mixed in the food which was served at night, and the teacher sexually harassed the female students after they fainted. 

The accused teacher was said to have threatened to kill the family members if they opened their mouths about the incident the next morning. 

The incident took place on November 18. The student and her family had been silent for so long for fear of being threatened by the teacher.

However, in the end, the families of the two students were approached by the MLA of the area, Promod Atwal. He reported the matter to Senior Superintendent of Police Abhishek Yadav. 

After that FIR was filed. Although the police did not want to take the complaint at first. Finally, the police made an FIR after the intervention of the MLA. 

No arrests have been made in the case so far. 

In India among all the states and Union territories, the highest number of complaints related to the crime agaisnt women were received from the Indian state Uttar Pradesh (10084). 

It is almost 46 percent rise in complaints of crimes agaisnt women in 2021 in the Indian states like Uttar Pradesh, National Capital Delhi and Haryana.
